ARTIST'S STATEMENT: This image is part of a series of photographs I took while working on the set of a pornographic film being shot in a hotel in Sydney. I had some down time in between takes and decided to use it do my own thing. This is one of those shots. I find that most people don’t realise that Sydney does have this underbelly. But when you get into it, it’s really not that dark. It’s just a bunch of people trying to make a living.
Living most of my life in a small rural community and growing up on a farm. I am drawn to images that are more organic and natural. Images that are as they are. That simple.
